Post2Plate
A social-first recipe inbox: share a recipe post, AI turns it into a clean recipe page, and fans cook from it on the web.
What it does
Food creators post recipes on Instagram and TikTok but rarely have a website. With Post2Plate, a creator shares or DMs a post, AI parses it, and it's published at /@handle/recipe, where fans can actually cook from it. The creator owns the audience.
I built it solo: product, brand (including Miso, the mascot), a FastAPI and Postgres backend, a Next.js front end and a Figma plugin.
The AI
- Parser: gpt-oss-120b on Cerebras, with GPT-4o as fallback, at 92% on a 60-case test set. Video audio is transcribed with Whisper.
- Intelligence heads: I trained about ten small TF-IDF and logistic-regression models for tasks like ingredient substitution and canonicalization, labeled with larger LLMs. Some looked great (0.99 on canonicalization), but my own training journal later flagged a few of those wins as inflated, which was the most useful lesson of the project.
